CAMP HIGHLIGHTS

Camp will be limited to 50 athletes this year. Register early to ensure a spot.

We coach the most up to date slalom and GS techniques. The athlete will work on fundamentals, train mountain slalom and GS, with all skill levels. Groups are formed before the camp, using age and skill as the formula for grouping.

  • We have a 5:1 coach / athlete ratio. We are the only camp that provides this.

  • Full length training lanes, perfect for mountain GS and slalom. Most other camps only use ½ length.

  • 16 - 18 athletes per training group with four coaches. One training group per training arena to ensure quality coaching and terrain, each training arena is serviced by our own highspeed quad.

  • Each group will have two training blocks every day, starting on Sunday. Each training block is 2 ½ hours. We always train with a vision, focusing on deliberate practice.

  • Dryland and recovery is a fun environment with different activities each day, including soccer, broomball, wally ball, swimming, swiss balls, yoga, etc. It is optional depending on energy level of the athlete.

  • Coaches meet with the athletes every afternoon to go over video from the day and to view World Cup video and plan the next day.

  • Private pickups and drop offs from Denver Int. Airport to Copper and back on designated arrival and departure days.

  • Our accommodations are very roomy; all are two and three-bedroom condos.

*Athletes 10 & younger need to be accompanied & stay with at least one parent (Day Camper only)

ACCOMMODATIONS

We stay slope-side at Copper Mountain condominiums, Mountain Plaza & Village Square in the Center Village; both have a five-star rating. Two and three bedrooms with full kitchen, living room, three bathrooms, and a fireplace are the norm. There are laundry facilities, a hot tub, and a sauna in the building. Four to six athletes will stay in each condo. Please indicate any roommate request on the application and we will do our best to accommodate you.

MEALS

All meals will be provided by Copper Mountain (breakfast, lunch & dinner). On Thanksgiving, Copper will cook our entire group a complete turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

Flight Information

Book your flights as early as possible! We need flight information by no later than October 15, 2024.

Flight arrangements are your responsibility.

Airport bus departure time from the Denver International Airport to Copper is 1:00PM. Please schedule your arrivals at the Denver Airport by Noon, 12:00PM, to allow sufficient time to make the departure time.  If your athlete cannot make the scheduled departure time you will need to arrange transportation for them to Copper Mountain Ten Mile Circle.  We suggest that you contact Epic Mountain Express to make these arrangements.

Athletes arriving/departing other than on the normal camp start/end (Nov 23/Nov 30) will need to make their own transportation arrangements to/from Copper. Our coaching staff will pick you up at the airport. Unaccompanied minors(UM) will be picked up at the gate by Scott Winquist.  Try to pair your athlete up with one of our coaches who may be flying on the same flight before paying for a UM.  Contact Jim Eliopoulos prior to making UM arrangements (bne31@aol.com) (Cell 616-446-9952)

Coaches will be flying out of Grand Rapids and Detroit. Please email us if you would like their flight schedules.
